What’s not to like about a street fair. Especially in a cool setting like downtown Loudonville. It really is a fun slice of Americana. For the most part the weather cooperated and a majority of participating GOSA members reported sales being on par with last year.

JR Woods provided 12 rides and a nice array of games and food. Like everyone else JR was winding down the season with just two more dates to play.  His equipment will go to the shop for maintenance and storage this winter. The only thing going south this year will be himself and family for some well-deserved R&R.

Bill Boch’s Fun Time Arcade, the last portable arcade in Ohio, was set-up in the N/E park off Main Street. Bill keeps the arcade, first owned by Geary & Eric Bates and then by RN Ruff, in top-notch condition. Bill was happy to report the arcade has experienced a resurgence in interest and business has been pretty good this year.

Doug Ginsler he was spotted taking care of business in one of his Carousel Concession trailers. Business was steady but Doug still had time to trade some jackpots and reminisce about Bob Keating and other industry friends that departed too soon.

Katie Linville and Denise Woods were spotted running errands. They stopped long enough for a quick photo and then went back to keeping their businesses operating smoothly.

Finally, Jeff Otterbacher was seen but was moving too fast to take a photo of his good side.

Best,

Eric T. German
